Default project 924 - progress after a week off.

so ive taken a nice leave of absense from the 924 project after so much work has been done, working on my 44 and sleeeeping. Finally after much delay i have some toys to play with so im headed to the garage once again to work on the beastly little 24. I went up to northland posh and purchased six little rubber cheerios also known as injector seals, cost about $15. but should help with my vaccum/leak problem. I also received my BURSCH racing header today and it is sexxxy!!! It came w/ the complete header, cat delete and gaskets/bolts for lower flange.$238. shipped. Tonite we will see if this wakes up some power in her little audi 2.0 motor.

i also received some interior parts from my new buddy "macfreak007", a rennlister from louisville. After taking a wizzwheel to his quarterpanel and welding in a 2' square section of recycled 944 quarter from nine44's secret stash, i got all this fun stuff....

glovebox door, no teeth marks.

door panels, in one piece ea.

column plastic and switches

consule in three pieces but w/ perfect consule lid and tray!!! woopy!!!

rear side carpets, consule carpets, seatbelts, misc stuff for the dash and headliner parts +my clip for the broken sunroof latch.

you might want to take all that paint off before you put it on.. otherwise you will be there for half an hour with it smoking really badly burning off the paint

Hey xsboost, I just remembered I have a rear sway bar (with mounts to weld to your torsion bar tube) that I have laying around, glad to donate it to the "little car that could". Just remind me before the next GTG and I'll bring it or we can make other arrangements sometime. I just sold my 924 to a friend of nineeagles last year, always had a soft spot for the little guys......

bought the header through vertexauto.com....i dont want to talk about it.

tried to install header last nite, all came apart good, had to take half the engine apart to get the damn thing in then found out it doesnt have an o2 sensor hole. I cut out the co test flange and welded in the o2 flange from the old exhaust but was too tired to do much more so i guess ill do some more tonite.
