I obviously can't comment on his chip, but I left my Autothority in the last time I had to have an emissions check and I passed with such good results that the guy at the e-check station was shocked that my car was so old. I mean the guy was literally amazed.

Probably didn't hurt that I had a brand new catalytic converter, but at least the chip didn't adversely impact the results of the test.

SOunds like I should stick with a or or less stock muffler and just replce my cat with a generic one. They are $125 and the factory ones are about $400.
