Default '83 944 for sale...

I can take pics for those who are interested, too many details to anticipate so let me know.

VIN is: WP0AA0944DN461928

In a nutshell...would be a good candidate for a racer (has factory manual steering for one reason). Paint is between "going going" and "gone" Oxidation present on the sunroof, appearently a poor job of repairing the passenger door was done and bondo is cracking under the paint. Interior is aged, but not really bad. Seats are seperating at seams, and the center console carpet piece is not there. One or two cancer stick burns on the rear seats (previous owner). I parked it because there is a knock that sounds to be coming from the upper balance shaft area, but I cannot be for certain, may just need a good valve adjustment. All in all it is in fair condition, I've seen much worse. Engine is a replacement from an '84 944, it has less than 70k on it (I bought it with 59k on it, but odometer is out so actual mileage cannot be verified, but less than 70k I can promise). No idea of what was changed in the engine when. Any other details let me know. With it will go the original 2.5 block with all the parts I have left (no crank, rods, pistons, or head). Also a brand new rear spoiler center section is included. I'm sure I have some other parts I can't recall at the moment. I don't have a preset figure in my head, so offers are welcome...it is just taking up space and I no longer desire to own it. Pickup would be preferable since it starts and runs, I'd hate for whatever it is rattling to cause any major damage. Like I said, if you want details or pics, let me know, I'll take pictures for each person.

Lightbulb Valve Adjustable!?

Ah, no. They are self adjusting hydraulic lifters and do not need adjustment. Something else is causing the noise. It sounds like its gonna need a decent amount of work before it will even get to a track car status.... is it a parts car? I will offer you $50 for the whole thing and just drive it right over to my garage and park it. We will guarantee you the car will be taken apart and shipped in pieces all over the world to fellow rennlisters FREE. We will also make a map of where all these pieces reside and post it online for all to see.

Just kidding.

But seriously, it isn't even worth $1500 in that shape around here, sorry.

Do a search on www.autotrader.com in your area, and stay away from Kelly Blue book, they'd say it's worth squat.

Good luck, and if I can help, let me know.

It's just scrap to me. I'm not going to give it away, but my trash could be someone's treasure. I've got two offers so far, anyone else?
