What does anyone think of the $16.9K asking price of a 94 968 coupe with
90,000 miles on it?

Sounds great- where is it? I'd like one for myself.

HAHA, KKB, edmunds, all those price quoters are totally off on sports cars. Cars like ours fluctuate with market demand. Age doesn't matter. The prices in Excellence arent too far off. Basically i would take those prices and average them with what sells on ebay and PCA. You should get a good average since Excellence is low sometimes and PCA is always higher than usual.

I've done some 968 shopping; based on my experience, that's a bit on the high side, though I'd say it's reasonable if the car has been religiously maintained on schedule and said maintenance is well documented.

Sounds to be a good deal for the 94 968 with that many miles on it. I would check it out and get a PPI done if you are interested in the car. Basically you can probably pick one up for 12k to 25k I seen it all. If you like the car it checks out good and the owner has some paper work then go for it.

my $.02
968's as a whole are over priced right now.
$15k - $20k will buy a damn nice 928S4 or even a GT.
I'd rather pick up a 951 for $6 - $10 vs any 968. From the drivers point of view they are the same car. First 968 I was in was back in 92 or 93, a brand new one at the dealer. I was like "this much for a re-named 944 with less power?" Guess those memories are hard to shake.

on a counter-point, I do prefer the body of the 968 over the 944, just not at the extra cost.

Hacker,

I agree on the price disparity between he 968 and the 944s. But, I think it's a little
of both the 968's being too expensive and the 944 's too cheap.
