Default Problem with AutoMeter Ultra Lite Boost Gauge

I have an autometer gauge that I just went to install last night.

I hooked it up to the car, but you guys know how the boost gauge rests at 0, mine rests at -11 vacuum.

I hooked it up, thinking that if I were to turn the boost up, it would go back

to 0, but it didnt. As soon as I shut the car off, the boost gauge went back

to 11 vacuum. What do I do to reset the gauge to rest at 0??

Thanks

Probably take it back and exchange it, if there is nothing putting pressure or vacuum on the gauge, it should read zero. This one is broken and/or needs to be calibrated with a new face behind the needle.

It was previousley owned.

When I hooked it up to the car, it works, it builds boost, and reads vacuum, but it thinks that -11 vacuum is the "0" point, and gives me wrong readings.

Thanks.

i had a brand new ultra lite boost gauge that i got from SFR. when i got it it was resting at the very lowest vacuum number. when i plugged it in it never did anything. i sent it back to tim and he replaced it for me. new one rests at 0 just like it should.

mine worked fine, it may read like 1lb vac. at an idle max, but w/ two separate guages hooked up it read boost correctly on mine. I would try to get you money back.
