What are you guys talking about?? The stock clutch in these cars is built for 10 year old girls! If you think that is heavy then you should try the KEP PP or my ACT X-Treme in my RX-7. The stock clutch is way to light and the take up on the pedal is relatively long.

Wagz, Ryan may need to bleed his clutch. After Weissass did my clutch the pedal was as light as a feather. Now it's only marginally heavier after 20,000miles on the new clutch.

if bleeding doesn't fix it, maybe the cable needs to be adjusted. Either way it shouldn't be too heavy, even if it's got a high clamping force clutch in it (which I doubt it has since it's a bone stock car)

What cable? The clutch is hydraulic. Are you referring to the pedal itself (it is adjustable IIRC).

Eyal is used to the non-existance force from a Honda clutch (the best manuals to learn on IMO)

theedge... Beautiful car, how much did you get that for? I'm picking up an identical '87 in 3 days I'll post pics when I get it (I have some, though I want to wait until it's mine). Nice choice!!

actually, the civic was auto, but my brothers impreza is light. I've driven other cars as well, all lighter. Maybe I need to bleed the system.

The answer depends a lot on the driver. I am no 400lbs NFL quarter back player but my stock clutch feels as light as feather. If you think 951 clutch is heavy you wouldn't be able to budge a classic mopar hemi clutch

The car was $8250 USD, then timing and balance belts were $700USD.

Add some more for the taxes and duty I pay on it, and it still comes out several grand cheaper for me to import than to buy locally to me here in BC.

Wagz said it was totally different from his N/A's clutch, diff throw everything.

I personally have no real comparison, this is the only manual car ive driven for more than 5 mins

In a way that's always true. As I understand from second hand information the stock N/A clutches have rubber disk centers. The 951's utlize non rubber, metallic material for a more solid, durable connection. So basically yes the N/A and 951 should feel different.

'cuz he bought it in Washington and drove it across, I think that is a dealer and the coolest car is the Rolls behind it.
