Just wondering when the next get together in the Great Lakes Region is planned. I read about 944Fest in July - just wondering if there is anything organized before that.

I've hinted towards having a spring GTG. Not sure if I can do it. Between School & Work... I'm dieing here!!! Was planning on something of a picnic at one of the Lake Michigan beaches around St. Joe or New Buffalo. If I am able to do it, it will be more around June 1st. At this point, I just can't say for sure.

You are welcome to come and join us at U of M Dearborn on May 1st. I am the event chairman of the joint SAE (Society of Automotive Engineers) and MSCC (Michigan sports Car Club) autocross. The SAE portion is for engineering students in the Detroit Section SAE and the MSCC portion is an autocross driving school.
Groups are split, but the same course and timing method is used. Trophies only for SAE student competitors. Everyone gets lots of runs. We have averaged anywhere from 8 - 10 runs, each, for all drivers.
It would be really nice to have a few P-cars show up. There are basically three options open:
1) If you are an SAE member - you can play for a nominal fee ($15 if you pre-register/ $20 day of) SAE student $5 less.
2) Sign up as an MSCC student (probably $20-$25)
3) Sign-up with me as a worker. Free fun runs, free lunch, good fun.
See a little more here:
