i did contact them but they wanted 16k$ as a reserve. its 2 much for 100K miles car, and that weird color.
if it was black or silver, or dark blue, and around 11K$ i could go for it
many cabriolets with 50K miles in mint conditions and service records in black sold for 11K$ with is a good buy
i hope i find one soon, before i spend the money in a ducati

Yeah, 16 Reserve might be kinda high for that mileage. I got mine for less than that, and i only have 65,000 miles. The cab option does fetch a little bit more though. You can still find them for less, especially if you dont want blue. You dont find blue very often, and thats the premium to some people. Those pictures dont do cobalt justice at all, it looks to dark and not nearly as vibrant. Look at my pics for a better representation. It also depends where you shop from. If you go find a PCA owned car, it will probably average at 16. For some reason cars traded inside the club seem to go for more than outside club values. Maybe its the obsession factor. Personally, i think a Black S2 Cab with a front chin spoiler, and lowered suspension is absolutely killer in appearance.

$6500 for a cabriolet????? That sounds low. Either the person got a steal, or something is funny about the car. Ide be curious to see its PPI. Thats MUCH lower than average selling for that car, despite the miles. $10-18k is normal range. The higher ones are trully immaculate, with medium to low miles. Even the top Turbo S and S2 coupes are in that range. Ive personally never seen a decent cab go for less than 10k though. If you find a nice one that cheap, BUY IT!!!!! .

A few days ago, this auction listed the engine as Flat four, I see they've probably been contacted about it.

Black is nice, but it's a major PITA to keep looking decent. Click my sig for pics of my cabs. The black one gets washed about twice as often as the linen car. I would definitely look for a metallic finish. Much easier to keep clean, and really enhances the lines of the cabriolet. I'd get a silver or gray car with black top/interior. They're beautiful.
The S2 cabriolets were $50K+ new, and these days they're a killer deal as Porsche convertibles go if they're in anywhere near original condition for $10-15K with a maintenance history. They're also fairly rare. Keep in mind that 5,640 944 cabs were built worldwide in 1989-1991. That includes the Turbo cabs.
You still pay a significant premium for 944 cabs, so you might as well look for those nice onces you've seen. Unless you buy a used S2 coupe from a dealer, very seldom to you see one fetch $10K.
One thing about cabs is that open air motoring becomes "a necessity" and you really miss it in the hardtops.

For the right price I will let mine go. The car is absolutely beautiful! The only Titanium Metallic/Burgundy car in the states. There has been at least $5K in refreshing some parts within the past 8 months. PM me if your interested. Higher miles at 160K but the car doesnt show it at all. All new suspension, brakes, tensioner, new tires this week. LOVE the car, but looking for a new track car as we have a new daily driver. I will get some pics up soon! Good luck with your search!

There's one in Tampa for $10,500. I saw it in the local PCA newsletter. 67,000 miles and it's been in there for a few months. PM me if you want the guy's info. I don't know him and don't want to plaster his email or phone number on the forums.
