Default How to align door

The top edge of the door won’t seat currently when I close it. How do I adjust this? I tried loosening the hinges and moving it around.

Window down and door open (obviously). Channel your inner Arnie by pushing/pulling the top of the door until it fits!

Or buy one of these.

Looks like the rear edge of the door and window frame line up well. Does the front edge of the door itself line up well?

(Curious, curtisr… what is that tool?)

It's what a bodyman would use here. The sliding bit is, of course, to allow for different window heights - insert into window opening (with window down), place protective end on the appropriate side of the upper window frame and pull on handle towards oneself.

Yes, all the other borders of the door line up perfectly well, just the top edge (totally bizarre).

Curtisr thank you, I will try that!

Curtisr, you are a genious! With a little muscle and some pushing and pulling I got it to line up perfectly, and now the window goes up and down smoothly as well. Thank you because it was really bugging me. I'm still at a loss as to how it happened, but if anyone else ever runs into this, now you know what to do.

This one is from Auto Body Toolmart. It would be easy enough to make your own I suspect.

I remember trying to tell my parents that but they wouldn't buy it.

Anyways, glad it worked out and it does look perfect.

Sometimes the "Armstrong" method is just the ticket. Well done.
