Default 944s Rear Valence

Picking up a new to me 1988 944s this weekend. I'm curious about this rear valence shown in this picture. I've seen this on several cars. I assumed it was an aftermarket item until I saw it on other cars. Is this a factory option, or stock on the 944s, or an aftermarket item?

Aftermarket, but possibly dealer installed? Looks like that had a center light panel too at some point, got some extra holes between the tali lights.

Yup, planned on just covering them at first, then figure out if I want to fill or get the center panel.

Looks like a solid car. It's interesting to see that valence on a late car. Typically I see them on early N/A cars.

Yeah, 88k miles. This will be my first Porsche, after owning every other German car. Figured I'd snap one up before the prices went nuts.

She looks great, welcome friend! I've always liked the lower rear valance, it kind of evens up the bottom lines a bit. I've driven a handful of VWs and BMWs over the years, but there's just something about Porsche and more specifically the 944 for me. Enjoy, JJ!

The Toast Rack!

Usually found on early RoW 944. Could be genuine or aftermarket but I believe the 944S could be optioned with the 944 Turbo rear valence back then. Looks like an aftermarket exhaust there too.
