Thanks Gustaf. Yes, that is Barcelona. I bought the car in the U.S. in 1999 and shipped it to Spain last year as a gift to my parents. My father drives it daily now. Quite an improvement over his previous '92 VW Vento.

Thanks Sam! It's a pretty subtle color combo that appears to be harder to find than I expected. Before deciding to ship the car over, I pored over the ads in Autoscout24 and mobile.de for months and couldn't find another one like it, so I decided to keep it in the family.

I'm a big fan of blue. And black. So here's a combo shot.

Does it just clamp on or is it supposed to be screwed in permantly? I want to get into doing road trips and such, and a roof rack would make things easier and make it easy for skis and stuff... I dont want to screw it in or something tho

Pics of it and whered you get it? How much? Brand? Thanks!

I thought I recognised the streets from Barcelona! I visited last spring, very nice city. It sounds to me you have a lucky father
I really like the 944 cab, it looks very modern and classy.

Zanzibar red is a gorgous color! I was not too far away that my car went that color instead of the green. But I wasn't sure the color would fit the older lines of the 944 body.

That montego black metallic sure looks a hell of a lot like graphite metallic. Im wondering if they are the same colors ala guards/india. If I didnt have 20/400 vision Id say they looked the same.

May be, may not. If anyone at 944fest has Graphite, we'll find out! The paint codes are different numbers and letters though, where as india/guards have the same paint codes. Either way, the two are probably very similar, maybe just varying amounts of metallic flakes.

Actually they could be virtually identical with just a variation in the metal flake? I know the new Cobalt Blue Metallic is just a shade different from the original Cobalt that I have. I actually had the chance at a PCA event to compare my car with the new Cobalt on a custom Boxster. Basically where i have purple metal flake, the new color had another blue shade flake instead so it was a cobalt to blue color, instead of a cobalt to purple. That might be the difference in those blacks, just a different flake formula!

Hacker-Pschorr

the middle one you posted- th e944GTP- the mirrors- what kind of mirros are those? Can they be put on a normal 951? ANYONE? They LOOK like they would weigh an ounce or two apiece AND have almost NO drag.... I would want them painted though, like my 968 mirrors... I've got a nice folder of unique colors- I'll try to post a few- some of them have already been shown here though, PLUS, a few I didn't have- I like the 968 cab in "The Specailist" W/Sylvester Stallone, Sharon Stone, etc... It's kind of rare...

Duke's rainforest green has always been a favorite of mine, as is Dan P's Glacier Blue, but, to give it full credit, you HAVE to see the interior- I like all the blues & greens on these cars for the most part- the amazon green is awesome as well- I've got pics of all of these, but, am not sure if they qualify as unique, other than what's already been posted... The purple one, lavender 968, is unique for sure, as are some of the 968CS colors- Porsche went through a phase in the mid 90's where they tried a lot of original colors... some of them were REALLY cool IMO.... VERY FEW cars out there can wear blue & get away w/it other than Porsches...

I AM REALLY BEGINNING TO HATE THIS DAMMIT!!! WHY do my pics NOT come up? WTFF? It's REALLY annoying... I have never been able to post pics- then, for ~1wk I CAN- NOW, red "X's" come up in boxes- click on the links & the pics will come right up... I LEFT THEM (the links) POSTED B/C I KNEW THIS WOULD HAPPEN... the interior shot is of Dan P's- sorry Dan- I HAD to post it- it's one of my all-time favorites, as you know- not that anyone will see it UNLESS they take the time to click on it... Anyway, thte pic doesn't show it perfectly, as part of it is a DARK BLUE & the pics makes it look black...
