Hey guys, i was actually thinking of hosting a get together this summer in the Hartford CT area. It does seem like recently there have been a lot in other places, if i had my car on the road i would go to the NY one this weekend. But alas...my car is still out for the winter

What about peoples thoughts on a 'timing belt party?' It seems like that has also been a big thing recently.

Later!
Erich

Timing belt party would be fun and I would be glad to help out. I have the tools (except for the "tool", I use the kriket) to get the job done.

Cheers,

Thanks Riff! I think a timing belt party would be really helpful to guys like me who haven't tackled that part of the engine.

Timing: I could host one late June or July

Location: Hartford CT, with a One car garage and large driveway, or Westfield Ma with a VERY large shop. I will have to ask about that and see if certain parties would be interested in doing that.

So GTG or Timing belt party?

Later guys!
Erich

I'd be for it but I aint gots enough room for more than 4 or 5 cars

If someone can come with a pickup it's mobile. Blow those frigging Open container laws out the window.

Anybody would be invited sorry about the confusion. The more cars that show up the better.
How about a 968 from MA?

Hey sid I totally forgot about the gathering last year. That 930 slantnose is one sick looking car.

Shamus: Definetly a 968 would be welcome!!

Even better the owner made the intercooler and turbo plumbing himself

I know he's on here (not 944 board) maybe he can confirm or deny that he was the slantnose that had a dead starter at the first gathering

Was funny to see the best looking car being push started by a bunch of laughing guys.

I've talked to him a couple of times, he's a great guy.

Here is one for you.. May 10th & 11th there is a MetroNY DE at New Hampshire International (http://www.metronypca.org/) - since that's Monday/Tuesday - how about a get together the 9th somewhere in NH or Mass? Also - there is a good chance I'll be at NHIS for that event as an Instructor, so to any Rennlisters that show up - especially first time DE folks - I'd be pleased to go out with you...

If you have never done an event with MetroNY Region - they are probably one of the best run, most fun PCA regions out there. So - this year, I'll also be promoting their events on Rennlist as "featured" events....

More Event Stuff coming.. It's gon'na be a busy year!!!

I would be willing to host a timing belt party on May 9th at my house in Tyngsboro MA. I have a two stall garage and a cul-de-sac to park cars in.

All would be welcome - especially 968's.

I'd be interested in attending a timing belt party, I did a check on distance from Potland to Tynsgboro, and for its only an hour and a half drive. It would definetly be a go for me.
