Default Where are people buying belt/roller and waterpump kits these days?

It has been a while since I have done a water pump, timing/balance belt, roller, thermostat replacement.

Anyone have a recommendation of where to buy all of this (including gaskets and hardware) as a full kit for a good price?

Car is an 87 924s. It has the updated pump and roller from a previous change.

Thanks!

I primarily buy from Steve and Ian at Ian's Euro Parts (944Online). They know these cars very well and their prices are fair. Plus they stand behind their products! I think that shipping is free if the order is >$200.00.

I buy a lot of parts from Lindsey Racing , they have pretty much everything you need and their prices are reasonable !
Bought all that stuff and my complete gasket and bearings kit from them when i rebuilt my engine ...

Cheers

The best thing to do is familiarize yourself with the correct part numbers you need via 'PET', the online electronic catalog of factory parts, viewable from the Porsche website. With part numbers in hand, you can search Google etc to see who has the best prices. I've found the best prices on either FCP-Euro, or an E-Bay vendor by the name of 'Parts Container'.

Curious as the differences between the different water pumps.

There are different p/n's listed for each of the variants (944S, 944S2/968, and 944T). Having not done a side by side comparison, what are the differences, if any? Is like the starters, where the 968 got a slightly higher power rating?

The difference is in the OD of the water pump pulley.

Well this is the difference between the 944 pre-87 and "updated" water pump:

I think the modification also required the use of 1 roller of a different diameter, but I don't remember which one.

I do what tempest does. While not the most complete selection, RockAuto has good prices for the parts it has. Google is my friend and I try to get the lowest price on every part lol. I think for my TB/WP service I ordered from like three or four separate places.

This site searches a lot of Porsche vendors for you. Doesn't do ebay or some of the smaller independents like 944online, all zims, only944, rennbay or lindsey racing, so have emailed them to see if they can/will. they said that sometimes the vendor doesnt want to collaborate (like pelican parts) and sometimes the website is not a good design to integrate it.
