Default Which steering wheel? (sparco-suede)

After driving my dads auto-x prepped miata I have to get a new steering wheel...its going to be a sparco/suede. Ive decided on the 383 or the ring.

Please dont post 968 club sport wheels..Ive talked myself out of one.

He has the ring/mazdaspeed version. I love it.

The Ring

Sparco 383

Either one will get a Momo/Porsche horn insert.

Just fyi, this isnt a everyday driven car...its a track destined car that just has a super **** owner so it ends up looking almost nice to track. but its going this year whether it likes it or not.

I like the 383 the best. The flat part on the bottom I don't like very much at all.

Since it's a track car I guess you'll be wearing gloves. Otherwise that suede will be ruined without gloves.

I have the 383 in leather (suede feels better, but wears out quickly if street driven without gloves - oils in your hand deteriorate the suede). The wheel is awesome - great feel, shape and thickness. BUT, it's a 330mm wheel and mine is a track only car. You cannot see all of the gauges (lose the top 1/3 of Speedo and Tach, all of the outermost gauges) - makes it a little frustrating to drive on the street, but I have bell and whistles to cover the basis when on track, and it's quite a bit smaller than stock (380mm). I would suggest a 350mm wheel in Leather for a primarily-street car.

Good Luck!

Kinda like the flat bottom gives a tad more room for the ole thighs. Ethier would be good. Scott
