Default Lindsey Racing 968 MO30 Sway Bars

I am thinking of purchasing the $600 LR 968 MO30 sway bars for my 1989 944. Front bar is 30mm (vs. 21 mm stock) and adjustable 5-hole rear bar is 19mm (not sure of the stock diameter).

I do not track my car, but run it exclusively in the Santa Cruz mountain twisties. Just wondering if other folks with these sway bars were happy with the switch for street use? (Mike Lindsey said the even larger MO35's would be overkill and unnecessary).

I don't have the Lindsey version but I have original M030 and it made a huge difference, the car is tighter and flatter in curves and more responsive.

I also have the factory M030 bars on mine and it made a big difference in daily sport driving. I would advise against going too stiff on the rear bar in an attempt to compensate for 30 year old torsion bars. You'll spin it.

Sounds like MO30's make a difference. I had the joy of spinning my car on a wet corner but got lucky and did not hit anything. I will probably set the rear bar in the center position and adjust from there - thanks!

The very latest update is that there's no update, yet. I have not heard back from the dealer that the part is NLA, nor have a received a shipment notification. IOW, I'm still waiting on an update.

Standby to standby

Update: NLA from this dealer

If you account for the bushings and link hardware. The LR unit isn't that far off in price.

The m030 swaybars are probably on of the greatest upgrades on a street car. Changes the dynamics without affecting ride quality.

Phone call to dealer today, parts guy says my bar is arriving tomorrow to him, then it's out the door to me.

Again, we shall soon see.

Well lookie lookie here:

Did "Porsche" start making 968 M030 front bars again? Paragon is advertising these as factory, not the same as Lindsey.

Interesting, and look at that price too!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I successfully ordered one from Porsche not so long ago but it wasn’t as cheap as yours. I went there with part number 94434370630 like you but they told me nla and the number has been superseded by 94434370631. Apparently the “1” at the end was due to a new manufacturer used by Porsche not a change of design or anything else.

So afaik they never stopped making them, they just switched manufacturer and therefore changed the part number. Maybe your supplier had some old stock and is charging an old price as I assume they don’t raise prices on discontinued part numbers.

Hi,
original part was hollow 30mm but newer design is more 29mm and “solid”
