Fuchs on 85.5-up 944?
I know that the Fuchs were optional on the early 944s but were they available on the later cars with the widened track? If so, what size and offset were they?

85.5 and 86 have the same offset as the pre 85.5 cars and were available with Fuchs. 87 and newer cars would need to swap in the earlier suspension, AFAIK it isn't posible with ABS equiped cars but some 87/88 car were non-ABS FWIH.

Thanks for the info guys. Lots of questions, I know but I'm interested in an 87 944S with phone dials and was wondering if I could "back-date" the car with Fuchs. I guess I can't.

Tifo, 944S, not 924S!
2 choices here, if the 87 is one of the non-abs cars you could swap in the suspension parts from a 85.5-86. OR, there are a few companies that cut the centers from 16x6 Fuchs and make 16" and 17" 3 peice wheels in varoius widths with them. $400-600 each depending on size.

Yes you can actually. While putting early-offset 23.3mm Fuchs onto the '87 car will have them stick out of the fenders, you can always get custom 3-piece Fuchs from HRE-wheels.
"Hmm, I wonder what a 944 with extra rear flares tacked on would look like... Photoshop guys? "
Here is Glen's car in its various stages of evolution. There's a picture somewhere with the GT2 flares on there before they were painted... gotta track that down...
