Arrow FS: brand new 5# ABC fire extinguisher

Hey everyone... if anyone needs an extinguisher, looks like I won't need this one... I don't feel like having it take up space on the trip home after this semester, and damnit, I'm gonna need gas money for the '51, lol

It's on eBay, though it looks like no one will bid:

So if it's unsold in a day, first $20 gets it shipped.

By the way, it's a $45 extinguisher! Here are photos... eBay didn't seem to accept loading them for some reason...

Kevin,
While any fire extinquisher is deffinitely better than no fire extenguisher, dry chemical fire extenguishers are not the best choice for our cars. The chemical used is corrosive to plastic/rubber/and electrical components. So if you use one of these fire extinguishers you MUST wash of the engine bay as soon as possible.

It is much better to use a Halon gas or Halotron extinguisher. They are not corrisive to anything under our hoods. They do cost twice as much thow. It is the individuals call but I went with a 5# Halon from ebay.

btw, imho isn't too bad a deal for a dry chemical fire extinguisher.

regards,
John

If you're driving home, why not keep the extinguisher in the car just in case? It'd make for one miserable drive if that's when your fuel rail decides to leak and the car burns since you cheaped out on $20 now.

True, but is the slight chance of that happening worth getting rid of it? I just don't want it takingup space really, that's all.
