Default 951 parts availability

Greetings,

Just a quick high level question. If I buy a 951 as a project car, are parts readily available? I love these machines, and once had an '89 951 - would love to have another, and don't mind putting some time and money into it.

Let me know, and thanks,

Den

Most parts are readily available. There are some obscure parts that are NLA, but for the most part, anything needed to keep it running well is available.

we have no problem getting anything for a 951 including the used parts, but some are no longer available so have to be purchased genuine

I recently acquired a 944t myself. Very fun analog machine and in some ways better than a 911. Genuine Bosch parts are starting to become more scarce. This is also an issue with all older Porsche's and not just limited to the 44. I had a pretty difficult time getting a Bosch 3bar fuel pressure regulator recently.
BTW: I see you have good taste in 911s. The N/A GTS is a great car.

no problem on the 951 fuel pressure regular if you want to suffer the genuine porsche part, ridiculous when bosch used to sell it for 80 bucks the same part with a porsche box is 400 or so. At least the 951 is a terrific car well worth what one puts into it
