Depends how much you can see. It looks tight...but i am thinking borderline. Depends how it looks on the car.

Looks pretty rice unless there are substantial hp gains or weight reduction to be had. Thats IMO, of course...it's your car.

Im guessing its titanium, I like it, although it depends how much of it you can see from the back, if its pretty well hidden I think It would look great.

Looks like rice.

But if it's very functional, that's hard to call rice. But it certainly looks like function follow form.

Now, if you want a really good muffler, does Remus make one for the 944/951? Or get a Remus universal. Quiet, yet they work exceptionally well in freeing up power.

I'm not a fan of the carbon fiber look, but whatever. Hmm, I'd say its borderline.. those chevrons are a bit iffy.

looks ricey.
What function would heat-blueing the tip have? are brittle tips stronger?
Also the rivet construction..... having not heard it on a car I can't make any pronouncement, but it looks like it would have all sorts of rattle and resonance frequencies...

Very rice... I mean, what is that, a 4 inch tip??? Who the hell needs that??? Plus i bet it sounds quite ricey from the looks of it... also, what is the point of having it made of carbon fiber??? Its under the car, its gonna get dinged up anyway, not to mention the weight savings of a whole 6 ounces... U can save more weight by wearing thinner socks...

As long as it's not hanging out too much... I've been thinking of those jap-style bazookas they put on Supras and such, but I'm not at all sure if it would ever work on a 951...

4" tip is btw pretty common AFAIK. Don't all those nice SFR cat-backs have one? (either round or oval). Not sure if my current one is 3.5" or 4" ...

The oem oval tip is also 4".
I really don't think it would gain any horsepowers. Maybe, maybe some decimals..
I saw this muffler in a swedish carmagazine, and the swedish retailer wanted 368USD for it and the price on megans site is 189.95 USD. Not that much for a new cool muffler though...but i don't know if it would look good on a 944.

Photoshop guys, pleace rebuild the 951 exhuast for me

From www.meganracing.com

Megan Racing M-Spec universal muffler is made of REAL carbon fiber and
titanium. Titanium, as well as being one of the strongest metals on the
planet, is also one of the lightest. Being stronger than both aluminum and
steel, the durability of this muffer is unmatched. The lightweight
properties of carbon fiber allow this muffler to weigh LESS THAN 5 LBS. The
carbon fiber body and real titanium tip greatly enhance the appearance of
your car and is the perfect finish for your showcar. Featuring a 4" Burnt
Tip and 2.5" Inlet, the muffler gives a deep tone that proves aggressive at
Wide-Open Throttle.

Spec:

- 20" long, 6" width, 4" tip, 5" long on tip and 2.5" inlet

- Removable silencer, reduces 30% of the loudness

- 100% Real carbon fiber, 100% real titanium tip

- Gain good performance and torque

- Produces deep, strong and nice sound tone

- Comes with bracket to help on welding

Definite Rice.

Especially with a pre blue tip. The reason for the blue tip is for looks. Any really track car will yellow or blue the tip due to the heat. My stock turbo S gets goldish stock tip after a day at the track. No blue however. I did a a 993 Turbo with a blue tips, but that was street car turned race car.

I WAS a away to check if the car was rice or not. Big fat shinny exhaust meant he never used it hard. A little gold or blue mean he ran it hard. Now you can't tell any more.

2.5" inlet with 4" outlet?

bump ezrider. i had that almost exact muffler on my old gsxr 600. it def was loud. since it was on a suzuki, i guess that makes it rice? i say, looks ok, would have to see it in person and hear it. also, who cares what anybody else thinks, it's your car. it's not like you're putting neon lights on it or something!! the price sounds a bit high.
