Default Sain Black Metallic - Anyone?

As you can see from my signature, my 88 NA is Satin Black Metallic I have not seen one here, nor anywhere else for that matter. How rare is that color? I'd love to see another one. Anybody?

Funny Note: I always type it "Stain Black Metallic" for some reason - sort of like Cool Ranch Dressing - I always type it "Cool and Stressing" - don't ask me why.

Okay. That was uncalled for. Sorry. Inside joke.

As Dan said, there are a few around. Best way to describe it (as it doesn't translate to pics very well) is black with a dark gray metallic which gives it a graphite looking color.

EDIT...holy old thread batman...

I have a fixer-project in that color. It's not that common, but they're out there.

In my home town there are 4 951's. Three of them are Satin Schwartz Metallic, including mine
I suppose that color is quite common, at least on 951's.

Friends 1988 951 S

my 1988 951

Another friends ex. 1991 951

Friends ex. 1987

Satin Scwartz 1988 951 from Saudi Arabia, now in Finland for parts

A wrecked 1987 944 Satin Scwartz for parts, also in Finland

Mine is a Satin Black Met. 88na. I have a question for you. What option codes do you have on your sticker in the trunk? Do you have m757? If so i will tell you more about your car.

It's a tough color to photograph b/c it does change a lot depending on the light. You almost have to see it in person or pictured next to a black or graphite car in the same light to see the difference.
