Wow Skip, i didn't know you guys were making these! I am wondering however if you plan to make anything for the rear of the car? As you know many people on rennlist have either painted the amber signal red or cut it out and replace the one signal with a clear one.
Call me weird but i'd like to either have amber on my car, or none at all. I'm not a huge fan of not matching
Looks good!

Thanks Skip - I'm already deleting the large round side markers on my 924S, so that will allow me to use the front 924S/944 ones you sell. Then if nothing else i'll get these clear ones and paint the rear amber ones red. I'll be ordering these sometime in the near future
Do you plan to also sell any of the amber bulbs?

Skip, What resin was used to cast the lenses and were the lenses cast with a vacuum degas and pressure cast, i.e. how many air bubbles in the finished product?

I'm looking into the amber bulbs now. I'm sure we can find some. Would also like to offer the silver-type amber blinking bulbs... but, them suckers is 'spensive.

They were cast using a special Klingon treatment I learned whilst stationed aboard the Galileo in the late 80's. Heck, I don't know - will ask though.
If it was bubbles you wanted, try Avon - that's where my wife gets hers.

Dem's gonna look BLING, yo!
Cool, thanks for stocking those. It's much nice to know we can order them from some one on this side of the pond.
When I finish the 951nose project, I'm gonna be all over those!

Skip, good amber bulbs in #1157 (dual filament running and turnsignal) are easy to find along with #1155 or #97 in amber for sidemarkers.
You don't want to sell the chromed amber bulbs at all as they don't work for $hit. You can use the Sylvania Silverstar #1157AST with the European Diadem coating but they look more blue with the bulb off and in direct sunlight. But the light blue is better than the look of a plain amber bulb. And you are right, they are expensive, I think street retail is about $22 a pair.
For the sidemarker #1155 you are stuck with amber at this time as the is no acceptable alternative. An amber bulb isn't very noticable in the clear side marker lens so it is OK.
Yeah, check out the casting process. Air bubbles in the front blinker/marker lenses really diffuses the light output and makes for a less than desirable lens.

I just looked at them and I don't see any air bubbles (even removed my glasses for a better up close view...lol, getting old is hell sometimes). We'll see what the manufacturer says about the process and let you know.
