If you are gonna make the trip out, why not run? You'll still have a good amount of time to watch others and check out the cars.

no safety stuff? I'm sure you can bum a helmet once you get there (I did once or twice).

I'll see if I can make it. I have to tension the belts on the Porsche and complete some other projects around the house before then, but I should be able to make it. This will be my first auto-x, so I'm guessing that I will need to attend the school on Saturday and Sunday morning?

I'm not gonna have time to hit the school, as planned.

The Saturday school is not a requirement, as far as I know. Show up a little early on Sunday so you can walk the course and have enough time for tech and chit chat.
