Default 50mm inverted struts for the 944

Hey guys I have been working on a 50mm inverted mono strut for rally and road racing/street...... I orginaly planned on just building them for rally as they have a large amount of fluid volume and will not heat up as much as smaller inverted monotubes....... They will be threaded housings and use Bilstein 50mm tubes from germany and all the bilstein internals so you know the quality....... I plan to sell the threaded struts in the non-adjustable for around 350-450 range........ And between 450-750 for the single or the dbl adjustable units......

would you guys be interested in a product like this?

Here is the cad file of the damper.........

Are you planning on having the mounting points for the brake lines, brake cooling shield, etc?

Larry - what I am really interested in is having my AK110/111 converted to threaded body. They use the same 50mm inverted design, can you do that?

Ak struts use a 40mm od tube with the 36mm guts whilst the 50's would use the 46mm guts...... Your ak's are not threaded?

Larry - my AKs are older Bilstein motorsport units, the monotube is darn near 3" around. I bought them from Paragon as units that someone had sent for conversion to Koni (which obviously doesnt work). I have never seen another set before. When I talked to Bilstein the only guy who knew what I was talking about was a touch over 60 and had been with the motorsport division.

They are made for the 951 (all the correct holes for shields, etc. are there) are inverted, have a stock lower spring perch.

I have truly beaten the crap out of the Rally Bilstiens and they just look back and laugh at me. "Is that all you can do"? they ask after a stage where we'd been in the air many times.

Putting 50mm Bilteins in the P-car would be heaven!

Please make late-offset ('87-up) struts available. You can get non-adjustable Bilsteins for the early cars already. Not for the later cars, though.

Matt, do you wish to make a whole new housing? or just cut off the stock perch and add a steel sleeve?

Email me a few pics and if you have a set of calipers measure the od on the body of the damper....

Larry, I will get with you soon. I would like to do an entirely new housing otherwise, I will use a faux coil over kit.
