100,000 mile service before wheel alignment?
Hello all,
My 1986 944 turbo has about 112,000 miles on it. It needs a tie rod, and 4 wheels aligned.
A wheel alignment on the 944 is more pricey than other cars, so I was going to ask what else should I do “while I’m in there”? I read that replacing the motor mounts could require a wheel alignment, and it’s probably a good idea to do that at 100,000 miles, right? Anything else? What about the transmission mount? Would that require a wheel alignment? Just don’t want to spend all that money on a wheel alignment only to find out I need another one soon. Would replacing a/c parts require removing suspension components and thus a wheel alignment?
thanks!

Check your a-arm ball joint condition before the alignment, otherwise you might wind up aligning it twice.

Have you replaced bearings? When I replaced mine and the oil pan seal I also replaced a .mortormount. suspend engine from above do what needs done at once then get the alignment.
