Default Does anyone Else Collect Porsche models

I was just curious how many people collected them and if they could post pictures. I have about 70 models and tons of magazines and books at home that i will soon post so you can check them out.

I started down this road a little over a year ago. Recently I've gotten into 1/43 scale Porsche racecars. I have several 1/18 scale street Porsches, the favorite being a Maritime Blue 993 RS. Also recently got Schumachers 03 Ferrari and Montoya's Williams in 1/18. I think I have somewhere around 30 total.

I have a lot. Mostly 1/24th scale, some 1/43. Here are two of my favorite 1/43 cars, both 924CGTs cars:

It's kind of funny that Porsche has the wrong rear spoiler on the 1991 S2 model.

I still want one though.

What size is that S2?

Is 1/43 the hotwheels size scale?

Those are pretty cool models Tifo... I have some of the old Hotwheels 911's, in various colors, from the mid-70's- an orage 924 & possibly one or two other Porsche's- would have to look- some in decent condition- there is one gold 911 that came from their Gold Ones series w/a Ferrai & several other cars... I'm knd of thinking that 1:43 might be larger, the detail on your's looks better... Same w/the blue S2, but, being in that case, etc, I eould it expect it to be larger- I would really like to find one about Hotwheels size or MAYBE just a little larger- a 951... Especialy nice if it could have the detail of the wheels too... did they make any 968's in Hotwheels or anything?

1/43 is *slightly* larger than hotwheels, not much. Here are some more pics.

A Lemans 911 1/43 scale

And, one of several 911 supercup tins that I have. These were sold at the races and contained chocolates. Highly detailed. (about 1/24 scale)

Tifo- those are REALLY cool... Would a 1:43 fit in the little console pocket underneath the stereo in our cars?

I just bought my first real 944 this fall! So I just started collecting recently. I have a white Matchbox 944, a 1/43 white 944(in the mail), and a 1/18 Guards Red Boxter(in the mail).

I've collected and built Porsche models for years. It's a fluid collection - as i change the car, then the models tend to be changed to match!

I collect all sizes from 1/76 - about and inch long for a 911 to 1/8 ....see the picture below! BTW, the green car is in 1/18 scale which is about 9 inches long.

Still looking for decent models of the 944 (S2 or Turbo)

I got a 911 GT2 RC car for Christmas, which is kind of a model. Not sure what the exact scale is, but it's big enough to harass my cats with!

About half of my collection. This portion is mostly the low rent district (Bburago, Maisto, etc). Ive got quite a few minichamps, exotos, UT, autoarts, on the other side of the room. I need to thin out the maistos/bburagos. Too many non Porsches I really have little interest in keeping.

This thread seems to come up about once a year.
