I really like the detail of the 1:43 set. The dashes are correct, the wheels are correct, even the rearview mirrors are proper!
While most of my collection of model cars are 1/64th (Hot Wheels and Matchbox), and 1:18th, I have realized that the 1:43 scale models typically have the best detail and are a real nice scale. I was surprised by the fact that my favorite car in the collection is the 924. Perhaps it's the guards red color.

Oh, BTW: I forgot two models:
A 1:43 Red 550 Spyder diarama (gass station stop)
A 1:64 matchbox red Boxster
The above two models are from Germany.
With Porsche coming out with a 1:43 set, I also hope that a 1:18 is not too far behind...

Brett,
The 1/8 porsche is a Pocher kit. I bought it from Germany (via EBAY) for €180. However, like all our real cars I've also splashed out a further $70 on improvements from the States. Things like engine detailing kits including scale bolts and clips, plus even a scale set of overmats!
Here's another shot of the bare shell:

Whoaa, I'll try that again with the picture attached:
1/8 Pocher Porsche 993 carrera. Note, the other model is a 1/18th UT 993 turbo...just to add an element of scale!

NICE!
Santa got me the 1/10 GT2 RC car. It is incredibly nice. I had it out on some slick blacktop the next day doing some 4-wheel drifts. Awesome!
