What Drive the Idle Air Control Valve?
I have a rough idle when cold. It goes away when the car warms up. Not that it is a fix, but closing off the line to the idle air control valve fixes the rough cold start. What controls the IACV? Is it the DME temperature sensor?

Burning Brakes
It allows increased air flow for a few seconds when the engine is cold to bypass the throttle butterfly which is closed when starting .
It could be just a sticky solenoid valve in the IAC or it could be a bad electrical connection. Test that you have voltage on the connector first but if you need to remove the valve you can do it without removing the inlet manifold
