Default 944 antenna

Is there a rebuild kit for the automatic antenna that has a stripped gear?

There was an entire assy. available thru Porsche for this app.

I had to replace one in an '84. They sometimes get water or dirt and debris built up inside, it will constrict the plastic ribbon that raises and lowers the mast and soon that will break. Especially if operated in winter when the moisture inside freezes. It is plastic with only a limited life expectancy. One lasted maybe seven years, but the rubber seal had failed and allowed grit and water in.

It has been awhile since I had to purchase one over the parts counter, but if available yet, it's not a large dollar item. There may also be some available as Bosch or an aftermarket maker and purchased online. The '82 built and '83 model year cars used a non retractable, one piece mast with a locking key at the bottom so one could remove it and stow inside if parked street side.
