Somethings fishy about that bidder "lcracing1"

Check the bid history, he bidded 11 times. If you take a look at " lcracing1"

feedback, you'll see feedback left from the seller of the so called "S2."

So, what this guy is doing is obvious. He made a fake user ID, bidded on

his own car (if it does exist), so he could make more money bidding.

Isn't this against eBay policy?

I emailed the guy and told him that was not an S2. He emailed me back and asked me why I thought that. I emailed him again with all the particulars and have not heard a peep out of him. He evidently does not intend on disclosing that fact in his ad. I feel sorry for whoever ends up with it thinking they got something they didn't. I almost feel like emailing the high bidder and letting them know.

He must have revised the listing as I don't see where he's advertis. it as an S2 anymore. It definately appears that someone (prob. him) as intentionally raised the price through rabbit style bidding.

Cyrus,
i don't think LC1racing bid 11 times.

LC1 put in a proxy bid up to whatever. when someone bid the same amount LC1s hit. when LC1 was outbid, he put in another bid.

if the price is 100 and i bid 700 my first bid will be 100. when you bid 200 it hits as a 200 bid from me since mine was first, the same until you hit 701, then it records your name. you bid in small incriments to see where i topped off, then set your high bid.

Ah, good point, I totally forgot about proxy bidding. I never use it.

It's too bad the auction's already over.

The high bidder is probably still unknowing of the fact that it's not an S2.

If the high bidder doesn't know from that picture that it isn't an S2, perhaps he doesn't know what an S2 is and won't be disappointed. Given the description and paucity of pictures, I can't imagine any buyer expecting much.
