Default rear wiper delete

I was just wondering if this is really a simple as it seems like it would be. Also, where can I get the plug to put in afterwards?

Hi, I know that some people have purchased the part directly from Porsche, its a cap with a bolt to tighten. My solution was low-cost because I had them on hand. Try using an endcap from a mountain-bike handlebar and a black rubber washer (from a hose).

When mounted you won't know the difference.

Very simple. Call all the usual dismantlers, they are a good source for the plug and gaskets. partsheaven.com, oklahomaforeign.com, etc.

My rear window doesn't even have a hole in it! Now THAT'S a rear wiper delete!

Does anyone else here have a rear hatch window without a hole?

Why does everyone want to get rid of it, I don't usually use it but I don't mind it being there. I could see the point if the wiper motor was $900 and yours didn't work. Unless it's a show car, its just decreasing value IMHO

It doesn't work and I live in Arizona. It doesn't rain, it doesn't snow. I could almost get away without windshield wipers.

Z-Man, where'd you get that hatch? Is it a factory original?

I ask because my car didn't come with one (AFAIK, no option code for it listed on the sticker), but I have the hole and the plug.

I am pretty certain it's the factory original window. Since I'm the second owner, I'm not sure how the PO got it like this.

Mine came with none, and has a silver metal plug. would much rather it be black though.

That's a good deal. Like $60 in parts at the dealer.

I'm almost certain the holes were the same size across all years. I do know the plug off my stock '88 turbo hatch fit fine with my '91 S2 hatch.
