Default Is this rodnock? Or something else?

Hi Guys,
Does this sound like rodnock? Or is it something else?

The car has sat for a long time, I then bought it. Trying to get it on the road.
It has oil pressure, I have changed the oil, but not the filter yet am taking to the mechanic for a full service.

sounds like a combination of the loud stock 944 injectors and camshaft followers (lifters) that haven't pumped up yet with oil.
if you let it just run and idle it might take up to 30 minutes for them to quiet down.

rod knock tends to present itself when you have the revs up a bit and then suddenly snap the throttle shut.

Awesome, thanks for that, I reckon I'll change the oil filter first. I was a bit worried....

Sounds like a diesel lol

I agree with Spencer... doesn't sound like anything wrong. In fact, when my lifters were stiff after a long sitting last year, they were much louder on initial startup
