Id give Rennbay a call to address any concerns, I’m sure the issues they initially had have now been resolved but it’s worth checking with them 1-888-739-7839. Or you can pm @Travis - sflraver they are a sponsor on here.

I had read there were issues in these, wasn't sure they were the same being offered by Rennbay. As you say, I suspect the issues have been addressed. Travis supports the 944 community with the best of them.

I'll be taking notes and rebuilding at least one of these for myself. Will create or add to an existing thread, when I get to it.

It seems like Rennbay is the only option for a new intermediate steering shaft...

Is it worth buying a used intermediate steering shaft, then have it rebuilt by a company (for example, the shop in England), or should I just bite the bullet and purchase the shaft from Rennbay?
