Default What's your car's "name"??

Unlike the practice of naming your house (largely ignored these days) it seems a fair number of Porsche owners still attach a fond or descriptive moniker to thier rides.

Deserving or not - my alpine white 1990 S2 is nick-named "White Lighning". I think this was coined by my buddy, Norb.

So, it got me thinking... what do you call YOUR car and why?

My Grey early car is Serena - classy and sexy yet likes to fly under the radar.

My red NA was Lola, but my lying cheating ***** of a Fiance named her so I think I'll have to come up with something else. See OT forum if you care to read the story - it's unbeleivable what this woman did to me.

Haven't named my 51 yet. It's still on a truck on its way to me.

I refer to my 51 as "the turbo" ... as in, "let's take the turbo instead" ... pretty original don't you think?

Used to call it 'The Flash,'

But my friends who feel I drive too slow call it "Slow Squared." (as in S2, or S-squared.)

Precious. My wife named mine. I hate it but it has stuck. She uses it like "Oh, he is out there with Precious" when talking to others. Really gets my goat. Now all my kids call it that as well. I kind of like the Lord of the Rings tie in, but that makes me Gollem, arrrrg.

I am thinking about naming my 951 the "General Lee", after the famed Dukes of Hazzard car. Why, you ask? After spending a few hours underneath it, I am convinced this car has attempted a few bridge jumps, and has done some time chasing thru corn fields while being pursued by the "revenuers". Seriously, if this car hasn't run at least two Paris Dakar rallies, I would be shocked.

Look for the confederate flag on the sunroof soon. I may make two deviations tho, as I don't plan on painting the car orange and I am planning on going with an Earnhardt Number "3" (with little devil horns and pitchfork tail to **** off the Nascar folks) instead of a Number "01" ala the Gen'l on track days.

Anyone got a pressure washer?

This is in no way a poor reflection on Matt Ledebetter, whom I bought the car from. He was absolutely upfront about the condition of the car and was a true gentleman to deal with throughout the purchase and shipping process.

Regards,

Changes depending on the moment.
Sometimes its b****. as in "oh suck it up you b****" when it starts to feel like theres somethin going wrong.
or sometimes p**** when it doesn't start in the cold.
but usually its kind words.
