This is a 60" sub mounted in the back of a bread truck. This sub was built by Richard Clark. It hit 160+dbs @ about 11hz with 5000wts of power and imploded the truck.

here is pic of the front(MTX didnt have anything to do with it except fund the sub to put their name on it)

Oh yeah, that's the speaker Marty McFly played guitar through at the beginning of "Back to the Future".

As far as imploding the truck, as the speaker cone moved out (away from the truck), it increased the volume of the interior of the truck so quickly and by so much that the resulting air pressure drop was enough to buckle the walls.

I bet.

Put a paper cup over your mouth and inhale until the walls of the cup buckle. Same idea.

Hey atinybug, does your seat still fold up?
If so, how did you fit the subs into the seat back?
Nice lookign setup.

Mine is not finished yet, I have to wait until spring to finish the fiberglass. It is going to be huge, and I will probably not have very much rear hatch space left, and my main priority is to keep the spare tire, and not interfere with visibility.

I am hoping to hit 150+ db, but that may be wishful thinking, the 2 15's are pushed by an Alpine MRD-M500, and the 10 and 12 will be pushed by an Alpine MRD-M300, I have a sweet alpine MP3 deck (CDA-7995), and I don't know what I will use to power my full range speakers, but right now I am usign an ANCIENT KAC-645 (or is it kdc?), it works, but it is definately now show-quality.
Once the box is finished, it is getting fiberglass door panels, and some minor interior reworkings, mostly replacing broken pieces, then it's getting entered in competetions =)
I have a pic of my old box with my 2 15" MTX's, my alpine amp and my cap, but the box looks like crap. It was built for my subaru wagon.

i took out the back seats completely, i had an all fiberglass box built into the space that it left, the bottom is all rounded to fit the shape of the seat. i'm using a sony xplode head unit that i want to change out, 2 eclipse 10" aluminums (about equal to JL w6v2), those things pound hard as hell... the amp is some crap JBL one that i got for dirt cheap but i wish i had coughed up more money for a better amp. ur system sounds really good
