Question A question or two

Well, just got my full tuition scholarship letter from URI and my dad said that (in addition to him paying 700 of my car, a few months ago) would help me with whatever i need money wise to get my car workin right. Just a few little questions.

1. Does an 86 951 transmission definately have the speedo sender port on it?

2. What exactly does this speedo sensor send out. Any relation to tire rotation, engine RPM, etc? Ex. 1 pulse per wheel rotation, etc...

3. Damnit. had another, but i forgot already. anyway.. thanks for the help in advance.. just checking my options.

should fit fine...as far as i know, the early cars had a speedo cable, if you have the later dashboard and gauges, i believe it will work w/ you speedo.

How pricey are the half shafts? Sorry for my ignorance, but what exactly are these?

Also, anyone have any idea about the speedo sensor output? (the pulse question)

Half-shafts from paragon:
http://www.smartcart.com/Paragon/cgi...item_num=944CV

They connect the transmission output to the rear wheels. Another thing to consider is that your car will be slower if you mount a turbo transmission to an NA. They are geared a little differently, so you're acceleration will be a little less.

Can't help with the speedo though.

85.5+ Speedos are electric right?

Early ones use a cable?
