1st time in the new garage

Wow. And the ProPark 4 post! Nice!
I swear mine will be in soon. I'd like to hear more about the flaked epoxy floor? I've read so many questionable experiences (traction wise) I went directly to the SwissTrax myself. I'm mostly concerned about falling on my butt again. I've broken my spine 6 times now and I can't afford another one.
Best Regards,

I just want to say, officially, you all suck!
(can you see how green with envy I am???)
You all have my dream garage/shops!!! I'm currently looking for a new house.... Wanna guess what the number one criteria is??? Bedrooms? Naw.... Bathrooms? Nah... Yard?? Nope..... Has to have a LEAST a double extra deep garage, a garage/shop, or space to build one. I'm driving my agent crazy!!!! Back about 17 years ago I had a house with a detached double garage/shop. It was deep enough to park two cars on each side. Very much like yours pfarah7, selling that house was the worst mistake of my life....!!!
I'm not kidding.... wish I was.
If I had my way, I'd have a huge shop, with a small apartment to live in!!! Of course it would have to have a game room/man cave. So shop, cave.... and a bed... I'd be set!!!

It's taken me @15 yrs to put this together. There's no way I could ever afford the build, much less keep the cars I have on my salary (working for the town has it's benefits but pay is not one of them). Luckily, my wifey does well so we do alright together. Besides, she's also a car nut and loves not parking outside anymore.

I was scared off by horror stories from folks who'd tried self-installation with epoxy. Naturally, I'm a "self-install" sort of person or I wouldn't be fixing my own cars to start with. Epoxy was attractive for a lot of reasons and I'd definitely use the traction flakes if I put it in, but after looking at the prep work I needed to do, then adding the risk of screwing it up the first time, I just painted the fresh concrete with 3 coats of acrylic and laid the tile over it. I'd already plumbed it for drains, and the SwissTrax came out ahead cost wise, but maybe that has to do with my location in Central CA, they have a materials warehouse not far from me.

Totally understand. Since this was virgin concrete, the company had very little prep work to perform before epoxy application. I think they used a large sanding trowel to prepare the floor; corners and tight spots were sanded by hand. I'm unsure of the grit size used...
