Any tips - accelerator pedal and charcoal cannister replacement
I have a brand new accelerator pedal from Porsche Classic and a almost as good as new charcoal cannister with a replacement hose and hose clips from Porsche Classic as well. I will be having these installed, any advice reference this will be more than welcomed.I am a bit worried as to the condition of the cannister hoses as i couldnt see what they are like apart from the cannister itself ( cracked ) . I assume the accelerator pedal is pretty straightforward ?

I wouldn't waste the money paying someone else to install these; just do it yourself. Sure, it's not making toast, but it isn't difficult either. They just go where and how the old ones were.

They are both straightforward jobs, to quote Haynes: “replacement is the reverse of removal”. However, get yourself some of the specialized plastic ties from Porsche to attach the new canister pipes to the body. Yours will break when you remove the old pipe and they are quite unique ties which attach to metal threaded studs welded into the body.

I would do them myself but I have a few other jobs - replacing engine mounts, replace headlights as well as change brake lines so I will have them all done together at Porsche who have been looking after the 924S
