Default Free S-03s - NEW

OK guys, never say I didnt do anything for you. A friend of my is the lead engineer for a tire testing company and he needs some tire testing done. I would prefer a local to the DFW area.

Tires are 235/45/ZR17 S-03, they are brand new, never used just came in from Japan. They are for testing purposes.

There is NO catch, you will have to give data to him and that is all. The tires are yours free of charge. You will have to pay mounting and balancing but the tires themselves are FREE. If I had a use for that size I would have them for myself.

Two things will be taken into consideration:

1) Rennlist memebership
2) I would really prefer a local

Thanks for the WOB.

It's probably just as well that I don't get them. After all, all I could tell him is how well they resist flat-spotting after sitting in a garage for months at a time.

Much better they go to someone who actually drives their car.

Shocking that you offer to give away one thousand dollars in tires and get almost no response.

You say, ignore this thread and get 400.

I'm all over this one... I will gladly come down to pick them up as I have a set of RE730s on my 968 that I hate. Can you hook me up?

i just sold the 17/9 rims from the mullet with the 275/40s which were probably too wide. had i kept them I would have made myself local and tested how they hold up under acceleration in third gear.

The noise. Loudest darn tires I have ever had on a car, aside from running off road mudders on th ehighway on a 4x4, and these are close to that noisy. Outside of that, they hold the road well both in wet and dry conditions.

Scott - I second that opinion. They are very loud.

Ian - hehehe.

I would love to, but again I have 18"s and am not in Dallas Area. And also, those would only work on my fronts. But I certainly would be able to provide feedback on the tire performance at the limits
