One problem I see is that how many of us have 17" wheels with the same width at all 4 corners? I really need new tires (for spring) but I'm running:
205/50-17
255/40-17

I'm sure they would fit, but how well?

If you can't get rid of them, take them to my friend Carlos that runs Texas Automotive Performance in Houstin. He will ship them to me.

www.texasautomotiveperformance.com

They might fit on my Audi, but I'm not taking my snow's off until spring.

Regards,
I've heard 730s are loud from others, but I never noticed it on my car. Any tire will get loud if the blocks are feathered. They slightly changed the design last year, maybe to fix that problem?

Matt, I'll drive to Dallas for them.

Better yet, they make nice checked luggage.

Seriously, I just had to get some new shoes on the Bimmer because the old ones were bald, but I'll dismount them and try out the S-03s. They are just a smidgeon larger than my reg size (225/45-17).

Matt:
I would take them and would pay for shipping (and any other costs associated with getting them from TX to VA). if no one local wants them. I have an extra set of 17s sitting in the garage that fit my 86 N/A. The car is a daily driver so I would be able get some real world test data.

Hey Matt, I'm game. You've seen my boxster rims. If they'll fit, I'll be glad to slide around on them. ;-)

I thought you could get a 235 on a 17x7. Is it because of the short sidewall?

It would be almost impossible to mount.

BTW - how does the strut brace fit?

That's a shame. The strut brace fits like a dream. Who would have guessed that my blower sticks up about as high as the 951 heat shield. If I order one, I'll have to get the turbo brace. I made a pattern and am toying with the idea of welding one up myself. I'm pretty happy with how my fire extinguisher mount came out, so I'm not nearly as scared of building the brace from scratch/scrap. It's kind of hard to justify the effort when the KLA brace is so cheap.
