Ok, so on sunday I didn't call again, but I did ride around his side of town, looking for the car in a couple of the service stations I saw...no luck.

However, I did find his house, which really is on the campus of the military academy. This must be the 968 that replaced the 951. He said it's for sale. You out there duke?

Jason

Jason!! Great work!!

I don't know why but I haven't got any mail about activity in this thread, that's why I haven't answered yet.

This is so very nice of you Jason, I truly appreciate your efforts!
Great news that his dad seems honest and like a nice person.
If you can send me his email address I will most definatly send him all the information and pictures he needs to try to locate the missing parts.

You can send me the information either by PM or to my gustaf@revline.se address.

Rennlist is the best! (I'm working on my membership as we speak..)

Thanks
Gustaf

Sorry to hear of your troubles Duke. Great work Jason.

These stories are the very reason that when Jim(jwl) and I decided to sell good parts off of the car we are going to make a track car, we agreed to each other that parts would not be up for sale until they were off and ready to ship. So far we have managed to ship all parts on the days of payment, so far so good. This is a community, although broad, of Porsche enthusiast and we should honor that among us when we sell to each other.

Good luck Duke.

Thanks Ski.
Good to hear you don't sell things before they're ready to go. Sometimes it can be tempting to do it just to make sure you have a buyer at the time when the goods are ready to ship. But in that case one has to be very clear about that when making the deal.
Not like in my case when I got the reply "I'll send it out tomorrow" and then a couple of months go by without any parts arriving...

BTW, Ski I sent you a PM about some other stuff!

Duke, I'm not sure what US Federal Law would protect you. Since you are in Sweden, I would think any legal action would need to be initiated in your home country.

I'd probably sue him and file a judgement on him.
Same thing with Turby, and a few other shady Rennlist sheisters who abuse what Rennlist is all about - a sharing and helpful community.

I certainly would have given up trying to get ahold of silicondigital by now, in favor of getting ahold of my lawyer.

Interesting that none of their marketing mentions anything about building character or values, just personal success.

After what happened with Rolex, I say we track down every scumsucking pseudo-Rennlister that's ever ripped someone off on here and enact a little payback.

What was the outcome with that anyway?
