15x6 late-offset phone dial? On what car?
Saw a late-offset 15x6 phone dial. Can't figure out what car it would have come on. All 924s are early offset. All 944s used 15x7 phone dials - both early and late offset. The real early 928 phone dials looked a little weird and this wheel looks exactly like a regular phone dial. And the 911 was early offset until the C2/C4 when it received 16" wheels.
What am I missing, or do I have some facts wrong?

1987-88 924S used late offset according to my man Chris924S. I'll bet it's a 924S wheel. If phones were an option on the 911 it could be a front wheel from a 87-89 911 but I don't think 15" wheels were available on those 911's.

I've got 2 of these sitting in my house:
Phonedials 6Jx15
Part Number 911.361.023.46
Looks like it may come from an '87 or '88 911.
ET36 according to PET
Actually I could do with selling these, but not quite sure who'd want to buy them, so any info on which model they came on would be of great help.
Just my $0.02

Three Wheelin'
Hmm good question, i have the 205/60/15 on my set now, but thats only cause they came that way. I doubt id go wider without using the wider 16X7,8'' 951 phone dials...or...one could get a set of 15x7 PD's from any late 944 for the back of the 924S. That was actually what the Le Mans 924S had for wheels 15x6 front and 15x7 rear IIRC.
Personally i have a set of "tubro" PD's for my car im refinishing i LOVE the lip/dish look of them!

Hrm, good idea about using the wider PD on the rear. I always disliked how 'non agressive' the rear tires were..skinny 195's!. I would prefer to go with the shorter sidewall also, 65 looks kinda stupid on the rear end.

Yea i agree(sorry for the stealing this thread) the rear 195's look really cheesy in my opinion. 205 look good and i think a 951 wheel with a 225 back there would look nice...
