Andy! How are ya! We spoke through that email list about a week ago! I am the guy with the US Cobalt car! Good to see you on here! It would be wild to have a cobalt car get together with as many as we could find. Too bad i live across the ocean.

Phil, if you still need leads I'm sure my brother would be interested (Linen metallic 90 coupe, SW London).
Why he doesn't read this forum I don't know, but pm me if interested.
Regards

Phil,
I'd love you to consider my car for the feature. It's a 1991 S2 in (rare) Cobalt Blue. It is used by me every day, is in really lovely, but usable, condition. The car has covered 102,000 miles and is very origibal except for some cup alloys. Unusually, for an S2 it has the M030 suspension options which makes it a treat to drive. It is the end of the 944 line, with the bridge spoiler fitting. The car has a blue "logo" interior which is also in very good condition. A full service history. If you're looking for a clean, unmolested example that is used regularly, then this is the one. I seriously thins it is one of the nicest "used" 944s around. Also, the colour (a kind of electric metallic blue) will look good in the mag!!
Let me know.

Hey! Another Blue one!!! All the UK Cobalt cars are popping up lately! HAHAHA what gives! There goes my exclusivity! Funny how ive found a bunch of Blue cars in the UK and virtually nowhere else. Is blue REALLY popular over there? I think ive accounted for about 5 or so UK cobalt cars?

LM5N thats the original Cobalt. I can't remember what the new Cobalt is. I have the original. The 944s that were cobalt, and the 968 were original cobalt. All the Boxsters and 996 cars in cobalt are the new color code. Its slightly different. You hardly ever see it since its a special order color. I had my S2 next to a Cobalt boxster and the shade is...just darker. Goes more blue to dark blue than blue to purple like the original.

Mine is LM5P. Depending on the year it's called Balic Blue Metallic or Dove Blue Metallic.
I'll be doing a repaint in the spring and part of me really wants to go with the Cobalt Blue.
What's the difference between these 2 colors and Copenhagen Blue?

Go metallic, the solid blues Porsche offer look kinda boring on the 944. Ive only seen darker solids, i dont know if they offered any similar to yours in a solid color. Check this out, what about Tahoe Blue Metallic, it was offered in Europe.

Yeah, that car would be awesome to have, especially in the states where you only seen black, red and white 944s. Silver uncommon, and gold is rare. Any other color and you get asked if its a repaint.
