I'll still drop by after work if you guys are going to be working on Geo's car. Let me know if you need a ride to the airport, depending on my schedule, I'd be happy to pick up or drop off.

I've got my buddy looking into getting the bender. I'll have an answer on the welding on Saturday.

If I can't finish the cage, I'm not sure I'll have anything to do on my car.

It's a 944 George. There's always SOMETHING that needs doing.

Anybody doing anything this weekend? I am off on Friday, and might be on Sunday as well. Anybody remember who I am?

I have nothing scheduled. I've been meaning to post this. I could not get the bender for this weekend. Nothing really happens on the 944 until the cage goes in.

OK, I lied. I do have to get the very last of the glue out of the interior and pack up the wiring harness.

If I do anything with cars it'll probably be to strip the G20 and get it out of the garage.

Get Davids car back together, Brian, what's left on yours? Kevin, Door?...

I'll be in from this trip early tomorrow, Thursday 9:00 am.

Well hell, if y'all are still getting together, perhaps we could pull up the harness from my car. I won't be around first thing in the morning though. I'm going to start walking with Team in Training, the group my wife marathons with.

This weekends a rain date (lots of rain in Yoakum - so no building for me). I was going to go out and test drive a few new cars (looking for a G35), but I could be persuaded to do a little GTG'n. What's the plan?

Hey Keith, since I had a G20 a bunch of folks tried to talk me into going G35. I obviously looked a different direction. If we get together you should drive my 328i. My recollection is they are similarly priced.

I'd love to. The Bimmer is one of the cars we're considering. Price is a bit higher on the BMW, but the word is that it's siliky smooth. I really, really, really like the style of the G35 though. Looking forward to piloting one this weekend (and a BMW, maybe an Audi or two, and the Jag X Type might be fun as well). The Trooper just ain't cutting it anymore. Seats are uncomfortable as hell, and we seem to be spending alot of time in car here lately (we did 30k on the Trooper last year). Somethings got to give - and it isn't going to be my fanny!

Boy howdy!

It's so smooth and quiet I've found myself at 70+ mph on the freeway in 3rd! I catch it when I look down the instruments. I mean I don't hear it revving high, and damned sure don't feel it. The thing revs like a proverbial sewing machine (until you get up to 5500+ rpm and then it doesn't seem to breath as well).

If all goes well I will be flying in on Saturday morning and leaving Sunday. I will be sure to bring plenty of clothes you can get dirty in.

I still have to replace my fuel lines, and pull and reseal the injectors. Matt expressed interest in seeing that done. (The fuel lines anyway) If anyone else thinks they want to come down, everyone's welcome. On the chance anyone will be interested, I'll hit up the butcher today for some beef.

Matt, have you decided where you'll stay Saturday night? You're welcome at my house, but of course you already know that. If you decide to stay with one of the other guys, that's cool too. Becki was just trying to make sure she had the house clean enough - you know the deal.

I really do need to finish up my car, so if you guys decide to hack on the G20, I may be delayed until I get mine done.

Matt also mentioned the NFL Experience. Since superbowl activities get kicked off this weekend, if anyone else wants to go over to Reliant I'm game.

We are now offically off for the weekend (weather report says rain chance is at 70% in Yoakum - too wet to build). So I'm in for whatever! You guys decide and I'll be there - Kingwood or Clear Lake - have car will travel!
