Well, lets see. In no certain order

1. Numerous meals and great company to go with them.
2. A Rennlister who basically moved in for 2 weekends to help me do my clutch. (This was the SECOND time we had met)
3. A "foot in the door" to what should be a new and wonderful career.
4. All the space back in my garage
5. A new door to replace my caved in one.
6. Help with whatever project I'm working on. Both hands and minds
7. Endless amounts of support when I'm having an issue with the car
8. The best friends I have ever had. Brian, James, Matt, George, Keith Thanks.

Sid--if it can wait until the spring, we will do it here.

Where do I start? Lots of people on this forum have helped me out immensely. Matt H. your story is commonplace here on Rennlist, however awesome it is. John is definitely a good guy. If I had to break it down into percentages, I'd say John D. and Rennlist are 99.9% of the reason why P-CarOnline has been relatively successful thus far, and only .1% me, if that. Also, Rennlist members have helped out when help is needed most. Whether it be TaboII's caring PM's and phone calls when my grandfather was dying, or Skip's time and knowledge and resources, or the latest help I've received, borrowing P9201 from 91S2, the majority of the folks on this board and nearly all the Rennlist Members are always willing to lend a hand to help out.

Remember when folks were going to help Jeremy out by rebuilding his house so he could save the 944 that he rebuilt? Good stuff.

Well, take care.

Absolutely. Just need to wait until the current Ice Age moves along.

The job is definitely easier with a few buddies (see TaboII's reactivated post, "DISASTER!"). If we can line Keith (TaboII) up we'll shoot for a weekend job.

A big AMEN to that.

I've been a big gearhead my whole life (or at least nearly as long as I can remember, about 35 years). Yet, despite this, I never seemed to hook up with like thinking people with the same passion.

About 7 years ago I found the SE-R list on the Internet and wow, after a while I found a bunch of people with the same passion. Over the years, most of us moved along or up or whatever. I mostly see friends from coast to coast (and Canada too) at two events - our national convention and a winter gathering in my hometown of Rochester, NY. Otherwise, most of us have moved on.

Then I found Rennlist. Wow. Very much the same dedications and passions. And better still a whole new group of good friends. I suspect before long I will be meeting up with Rennlisters from coast to coast.

Try as I might, I just cannot warm to the BMW community. Nice folks. Not at all the same passions. Too bad.
