Default Turn Signal Inoperative

My left rear turn signal does not work. The left front works, but blinks extra fast due to the left rear being out. The right side signals work fine. I've tried a new relay and swapping bulbs and the rear bulb holder from the right to left sides to no avail. With the left turn signal switched on, there is no voltage at the black/red wire in the round connector for the left rear bulb holder.

Does this definitely indicate a bad turn signal/combinatinon switch in the steering column, even though the left front signal works?

Thanks,
Gary

bump--

I have this SAME exact problem. Just started doing it !!

Where should I look next? I checked the bulb, relay, fuses, swapped the tail light tray.

It is funny that while searching for an answer to my problem I see this thread, which was started by the previous owner of my car !!
