Exclamation "Found" Al Holberts 951 Factory race car /AG's test mule

I found a parts car in a guys back yard.....ended up being
Al Holberts race car / Factory test car.

See details at Rennlist "General" forum or
go to : www.944central.com Go to Seans photo page
to see about 9 photos and story.

Need a few parts for this car, Factory fiberglass hood with
pins and "Matter " bolt in roll cage. any leads greatly
appreciated.

Thanks, Sean

So that's a cup car then, correct? It looks to be from your description on the site and the mirrors in the only pic that you have on the site. Have any more pictures?

For some more info on cup cars, and possibly some help on finding what you need, talk to Seb at www.asarus.com .

Nice find. Mind telling us how much $$?

Also, I'd like to see a photo of the rear 9" fuchs and what part number they are. Thanks!

Tifo

That car should be painted back to its Rothmans glory. Awesome find, glad a historic car like that was saved.

Tell Mark Kilbort about this car. He owns/races the original Al Holbert 928.

Wow! Thats quite a find - makes one wonder how many of these special types of cars are collecting dust in a barn somewhere.
Return her to her original glory!
Would you mind telling us how much you bought her for?

I doubt it would have a chance at being road worthy by Rensport reunion
as I like most of you have time and money limitations. Do plan on returning
it to Rothmand #14 livery.

You would cry to know how cheaply I bought this car . About what a regular old 944 parts car would go for...Lets just say way less than
$5,000.00 And got 2 new sets of Michelins thrown in free as the seller was a Michelin Engineer.

It was luck... I was in the right place at the right time.

It seems to have electric windows even though you write that it's got manual?!

What an amazing find. This is a find the rest of us can only dream about. Does it run?

I see a window crank. It looks manual to me....

What pics are you looking at, Anders?

Wonder why/ when it was repainted?

Awesome find, it's nice to see these cars (especially one with this kind of history) get restored instead of parted out and sent to the crusher.
