As far as this mod goes, I am trying to do one set at a time the best I can, there is alot invloved in doing these...At the moment I am doing a set for Brett, I am going by his place on Saturday ( do to timing belt ) with the finished lights and we will mount them and post plenty of pics from different angles and at night for all see. Brett's lights are also the test versions of the final product, for the final production method. After that is done, I will be making contact with you if you have contacted me. I am doing the best I can, after all converting tailights is not all I do..
Thank's

Jim, yes, those light colors are covered by Federal Statute. The biggest hangup as far as changing things out to white/clear is that the reflector or lens needs to be the correct color. My attitude is forget this and risk an equipment ticket because really the only time this makes a difference is during the day when your lights are not lit up. If some fool can't see your car and run into you I doubt they will notice a little amber or red lens.
As far as the 35 watt halogens in amber I talked to my bulb supplier and he will check some more but thinks you are SOL on that. And this is one of the biggest bulb suppliers in North America.
He did say that he tried some of the theatrical gels (that they use on their arc lights to light up the stage) on the 35 and 50 watt halogens for some sort of school project for his daughter. Thumbs down because the bulb glass just gets too hot and allows the dye to migrate into it and fails the task at hand.
