You need to buy my tires since the last guy who bought them is sending them back to me. PM me, I will let you have them cheap, even mount them myself.

Hey Matt, since you're hooked up with wheels so much, keep an eye out for 15x7 genuine Fuchs for me, will you? I need to swap them for my 15x8 (which I may have a buyer for - need to figure out a price).

I feel your pain. Odd how the 15X7 are so hard to come by the 15X8 are so easy! I will keep my eyes open.

968 Turbo RS - no question. In my irrational opinion, it is the best car ever built (based on my familiarity with the engine, acquisition cost, handling, and torque / weight ratio)
I mean really, I just pretend that's what I'm driving when I start her up in the morning!

how could one turn down the final iteration of that air cooled engine, the timeless style, and performance of the 993? I would choose ANY 993 over ANY, yes ANY, 996 or 964. To me it is the car I will get and never ever get rid of no matter if I have to live in the thing. The 911 is what 'got me' over twenty years ago, and my life will not be finished before I fulfill my dream of owning a 993. Although I don't have too much experience with them, I've had enough to know it is MY dream car, well the C4S is the dream, but a plain vanilla narrow body 993 would do too!

I really do love the 993's rocketship proformance and out of the hole punch that a 951 just cannot give.. (traction+lag). The thing is though for me the 944 is the sweet spot and is the better car for what I like to do. The 993 is to hard to drive and much to demanding for me to enjoy the experiance (Though if I was a better driver it might be a better experiance). The cars are so far apart from each other as far as driving its hard to express whats the better car for you. I can only tell you for me its the 944 but for my father he would never accept a 944 over his 993. Regardless of how fast or how nice the 944 because the 993 has that "feel" to it..

Also if you are looking for a fun car the C2 is the 993 to go with (except of course the Twin Turbo) If you are looking for a DD then I would go with the C4 or C4S because of the fourwheel drive and the fact that the brakes are easier to clamp hard (since they use a diffrent system then the C2 or C2s) Also search by best car not by model year because both the early and lates have there draw backs..(in relationship to eachother)

A 993... why?
1. Because I miss it!!! buuuaaaaaa!!!!
2. Because I already have a 951 (Even if it is a conversation piece in the garage at the moment... )
3. Last of the breed... last of the air cooled history
4. Love the engine, the sound, the feel... the A/C

But this is not a fair question... I would also own another 951 if I could keep it hidden from the wife LOL

I am going to have to say that the 993 is not only the last air cooled porsche in the 911 evolution but that its infact the end of the 911 evolution. I looked through the design history of the 911 (BTW a great book if you ever get to read it) and relised that the 996 was infact far more geneticly similar to the boxster then to that of its legacy. In the 996 most of what I perceive to be genuine 911 design has been lost. The parts that got lost are all very key to the 911 design and also have had a long history with the 911 as similar design elements. Some of these parts include: Doors (shape and interior design), The pedals (floor hinged), The interior control layout (dated? Very but that doesnt mean a good updateing yet remaining classic 911 isnt possible), Wheelbase (changes the cars handling characteristics) and exterior design. So how is it that porsche can go around and say this is the "Next Evolution". I don't know, I can only say its a new car but the idea of the next step of the 911 is beyond me.

So how does this relate to what we are talking about? It doesnt its just my rant of the day

951 and mod the hell out of it! All of you here know that a highly modded 951 could beat any 993. DFASTEST posted once that he beat a GT2 and a GT2 is definately faster than a 993 TT.

Also, when the 951 is updated with 968 body mods it can look more beautiful too!
