Default KONI Yellow Install Help

Hey, out working in the 10 degree temperatures (thankfully in the barn which is midly warm and out of the elements), trying to install my KONI Yellow shocks on the rear of my car, does anyone have any install suggestions? I cant seem to get the two nuts/bolts to loosen at all I was hoping to get this job done tonight.

Sprayed them with a good penetrating oil and let soak? Tapped lightly with a hammer? A longer breaker bar?

Sprayed em earlier, think ill hit em again, lightly tapped with a hammer, maybe it's just the fact that it's so damn cold out. heh.

just changed mine
used that PB (blaster?) stuff
i let it soak about 30 minutes
the bottom bolt broke fairly easily
on the top i spun the bolt a little from inside the wheel well, then went under the car with a wrench and had to tap the wrench a few times with a hammer to break the bolt.

give that PB stuff a try and use a few hammer taps.

You could try some heat from a small torch. BE CAREFUL OF THE GAS TANK, please.

The only tool you really need is an impact wrench, but I'm guessing that is not an option...

It's amazing what a difference a longer breaker bar makes. Or slipping a pipe over the handle to extend the bar. Get the car up higher if necessary to get a good position on the bar.

Thanks for the suggestions, im gonna give it another go today, just put my car up on jacks and ramps. Ill let you know how it goes! (Unfortunetly, that's the highest i can get the car without bribing a local shop to let me use their lift.)

Use a hydraulic bottle jack under the breaker bar handle.

Or just use the normal floor jack under the breaker bar. Use the weight of the car to break it loose. I know a friend that did that and it worked well.

Out and installed :-D (well took a lot less time than me posting but yeah ) Friend of mine came over, and it is MUCH easier to do with 2 people than one. I had almost the entire drivers side taken apart/back together by the time he came in. Passangers side was so easy with 4 hands. Thanks for the suggestions everyone!

List of things left to do:
1. Replace burned out engine bay light
2. Replace burned out "Porsche" middle tail light (3 light in looks like CRAP)
3. Replace worn out shifter
:-D
