Default Couple of quick questions

Just getting my 944T geared up for some track duty. Finished some major work - clutch, rod bearings, head gasket, coilovers, MAF. Now I am trying to figure out:

1)adding a oil temp gauge - Autometer has mechanical kits and I read on some thread here about a threaded oil drain plug that will work with the sending unit. I thought someone posted a VDO part # but I cannot find it - I just read it yesterday while doing a random search. Anyone have this info?

2)I just dyno'ed my car and we had some issues tying down for the dyno. We tied the rear driver's to the banana arm, and the rear pass to the swaybar. The fronts went around the control arms. I am going to be towing the car so I'd like some more secure tie-down points than we used. What do other people use?

Thanks

1) you can tap the big banjo bolt for the drain line from the turbo. I'm not sure if a pre-tapped one exisits or not.

2) Your car has factory tie downs bolted to each longitudinal. See my web site for rears.....

OK, I just placed an order for the rear tie downs. But what are the longitudinals?

I saw the order, thx.

The longitudinals are the frame rails. On the pass side, the headlight motor is bolted to it on the top. The crossmember bolts to each side on the bottom. Tie downs are in front of the crossmember.
